Janeil Swarthout, Ph.D. is a health evangelist and a mother of three little girls. Before becoming a mother, she worked as a senior strategic market analyst in Silicon Valley, while earning her doctorate in Mythological Studies. Her dissertation highlights the archetypal underpinnings of new technologies and is entitled The Gods of Silicon Valley: Finding Mythological Meanings in the Technologies of the 21st Century.
Janeil now focuses her research on the food industry. She is currently writing a book entitled Raising a Healthy Family that dispels the misinformation of the food industry, describes the functional healing model, and offers recipes as well as tips and tricks for helping children to acquire a taste for healthy foods. She also enjoys wakeboarding, snow skiing and playing with her girls.

Michelle has been in the Medical/Chiropractic field for over 6 years. She has been involved in holistic modalities for 3 1/2 years and absolutely loves her work. She started to change her lifestyle in June of 2009. By joining a gym, working out and eating healthier, she lost 42 pounds and has kept it off! She also started running (up to 7 miles now) and hopes to complete her 1st 1/2 marathon in 2010. She would like to one day to get certified in Personal Training and Nutrition.
